Warren's bio

I’ve a terrific breadth of experience in complex environments and as I'm Technology agnostic I'm not tied to any particular product or service.

Finally, I don’t charge City rates and successfully leverage offshore where appropriate.

My clients are all fabulous and range from Consultancies and Entrepreneurs to start-up companies. Government Agencies, Global Telcos and Petrochemical Giants.

SPECIALITIES:
* Research – Qualitative & Quantitative
* Surveys – 360 & Bespoke
* Internal & External Communication Strategies
* Product Development
* Creative Marketing
* Brand Strategy
* Client Retention

On a personal level ... I’m lucky to have both worked and been mentored by some of the very best Consultants and Entrepreneurs around. The challenges I've faced and overcome have left me a focused and strategic thinker. I’m commercially astute and politically aware with excellent communication skills. I’ve developed good relational and directorial abilities, at either a client or stakeholder level with extensive cross vertical experience. I’m also reasonably conversant in Italian with in-depth international trade negotiation experience.

In my work I'm using vector silhouettes and illustrations from all-silhouettes.com and vectorlady.com

Managing Director & Co-Founder

Marketing Communications and Technology Agency

Client Highlights:

UK PARLIAMENT: Client acquisition from a successful, yet fiercely fought procurement of transformational Technology Services. This positioned the company as an in-house strategic development partner with long term consultancy opportunities to the Parliamentary ICT department.

SHELL (DOWNSTREAM AFRICA): Client acquisition for Consultancy Services to address the `soft issues' within their top 100 leadership team, associated with a continent-wide transformation of their organisational business model. This resulted in program deliveries in EMEA territories which have secured measured improvements in employee engagement, commitment and Leadership Behaviours.

APPLIED MATERIALS: Business Analysis for the establishment of a Project Governance Centre for Transparency in the decision making process and improvement in employee innovation. Set around PRINCE 2 compliance and to address the operational costs of project failure.

My wife and I had always been active in our community and wanting to learn more from like-minded people we made the decision take a year out from business and study at a reputable college in West Sussex.

TAGH InfoTech, Bradford

Director

Following the sudden collapse of the UK shipping empire I acted as an independent consultant to a number of key UK clients on a contractor basis in the area of organisational restructuring and asset stripping.

FREEMANTLE Packaging Machinery

Managing Director

Shipping was on the downturn and the Board decided that we should enter the world of VCs. At the time COLI had lost a substantial amount on a poor investment decision. I was asked to apply due diligence and as a result of my work and my instatement as MD, COLI VC broke even the next year and we entered a substantial profit the year following.

COLI Shipping & Transport, London

Special Operations Director

Respected independent Liner Shipping Agents and Brokers for all types of marine transportation in cross trades and chartering of all kinds of project and heavy lift cargoes.

While acting as intermediary during a particularly difficult dispute between a UK blue chip and a significant company in Saudi Arabia, I resolved two things both the dispute and my next career step when I accepted an offer to work directly for the MD of COLI UK as chief liaison. Thereafter began an extensive training regime culminating as Director Special Operations for UK and in 1985 a shareholding directorship.

TRIPLO Freight Forwarders

General Manager

Team of independent's who were at the forefront of the non-conference shipping boom.

Rather than being limited to small freight forwarding contracts I successfully managed the Agency coalition to many recognised Liner Shipping Agents and Brokers for all types of marine transportation in cross trades and chartering of all kinds of project and heavy lift cargoes.

My accountancy knowledge and natural business curiosity proved invaluable and I finally took the role of General Manager with direct responsibility for Sales & Marketing.

Management Information Systems

Commercial Manager

Team of predominantly American Management Consultants who worked to support the introduction of VAT into the UK as a pre-condition to joining the then EEC, now the EU.

Initially a part-time role from College, during which time I predominantly typed up reports and presentation material prior to meetings and conferences. As time progressed and their demand increased, I joined them full-time. Recognising their appeal, I subsequently opened and ran their commercial division.
